Marie Brannon
Marie Brannon is an experienced freelance writer whose work has appeared in local newspapers as well as numerous specialty magazines and newsletters. She is the Houston History Examiner at examiner.com. She received her B.S. in Education from the University of Houston and has been a resident of the Houston area for more than fifty years.
Marie's love of learning sparked a life-long interest in local history, genealogy, the book arts and patchwork needlework, as well as other subjects. She became interested in 12-Step recovery programs when a member of her family died from untreated alcoholism and drug addiction.
She currently owns and operates an Internet business, selling used books, ephemera and collectibles worldwide. She also volunteers in the archives of a private university once a week and is a bookbinder.
